What is lip filler?

Lip fillers are injectable hyaluronic acid based fillers that result in a fuller and plumper appearance. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our bodies and serves to increase volume and hydration through supporting and shaping the tissues of the lips. Fillers are different than neurmodulators such as botox and xeomin- fillers work to restore volume loss. At Zand Dermatology, we strive to maintain a natural appearance to the lips, enhancing fullness and shape.

Will it look overdone? “I do not want to have duck lips!”

Our approach focuses on restoring symmetry to the lips and enhancing volume for a full, hydrated, and natural-looking appearance. We consult individually with patients to ensure that the results align with their desired outcome. How long does it last?

Depending on the patient and type of filler, results last anywhere from 6-9 months.

Does it hurt?

With any cosmetic injection, there is the potential for discomfort during the procedure; however, we take every step to ensure sure you feel comfortable. We will prescribe you topical numbing cream to your pharmacy to apply 30 minutes before your appointment to treatment areas.
